Every template sits in exactly one place, and that placement decides who can find it. Getting it right when you save is easier than moving it afterwards.
The three sections
- Harmonity Library
- Curated templates provided with the product. Available to everyone and not editable — treat them as a starting point rather than your standard.
- My Templates
- Templates you saved to your personal library. Only you can see them. Right for a draft you are still refining.
- Team Templates
- Templates shared with a workspace, plus any that are company-wide. Visible to the members of that workspace, with a filter to narrow to one workspace when you belong to several.
Choosing where a new template goes
When you convert a document, the Save control decides its home:
- Personal keeps it to yourself — the safe default while you are still deciding whether it is good enough to share.
- Choosing a workspace publishes it to that team immediately, so everyone in the workspace sees it in Team Templates.
Edit or remove a template
- Find the template and open its Template options menu.
- Select Edit to update the name, description, category or notes. The template's content is unchanged — this edits how it is described and found.
- Select Delete to remove it. You are asked to confirm by name.
Common questions
Can I move a template from personal to team?
There is no move action. Convert the source document again and save it to the workspace, then delete the personal copy once you are happy with the shared one.
Can I edit a Harmonity Library template?
No. Use it to create a document, adjust that document to your standard, then convert it into a template of your own.
Who can delete a team template?
Anyone with access to the workspace it belongs to, so agree within the team who curates the library before it grows.
